For 87 years Madsen plants were built with specially designed dryer and mixer gear reducers. Madsen produced this equipment in association with many gear manufacturers, including Westinghouse, Dana, Lufkin and Falk. With these companies either gone or unable to support these old units, Aesco/Madsen has embarked on a program to help plant owners rebuild and/or replace their old worn out reducers for as little cost and trouble as possible.

Aesco/Madsen spent the last few years locating and acquiring old Madsen dryer and mixer reducers around the country that were no longer in use. We then completely rebuilt these units and put them into stock at our Auburn, WA facility. 

How the program works depends entirely on the type and condition of the worn out reducer. Ideally, the customer sends in the old reducer and receives a new replacement unit at regular price. The old unit is then evaluated for repair and a pro-rated credit is issued to the customer.
